Comments about Kelty Light Year 40 Degree Down Sleeping Bag Regular: I have used this bag for two years now. I love it! Its perfect for Northwest three season use. I grew up camping in the midwest and believe it would be too warm for steamy Midwest summers, but I think anything other than a sheet would be too warm it in those conditions. This year, I purchased two more for my 8 and 9 year old girls. They had synthetic youth bags that weighed much more and could not pack down small. Although their new Kelty Lightyear 40's are longer than they need. They are much lighter, pack down to almost the size of a softball and the girls just love them. I did purchase liners to protect the bags and extend the comfort range for Northwest's Spring and Fall use.

A:
This can be washed in a washing machine but we recommend a non- agitator style machine. An agitator tends to rip out the stitching of the baffles. A standard dryer can be used and we recommend putting a clean sneaker or softball in with the bag when drying in order to re-fluff the down feathers in the bag.Answered on 4/25/2012 by Betty
