Comments about Kamik NationPlus Wide Width Boot - Men's: I commute daily on foot 2 miles each way in all kinds of New England weather, and needed to retire my old Columbia Bugabootoo boots which had brought me through many snowstorms. Kamik NationPlus caught my attention because they were available in wide widths. I wear a 9.5 2E and chose a 10W, which I found to be true to size. Initially they felt a little snug but the liner is very compressible, and after wearing the boots indoors for a couple of nights they broke in nicely and had more than enough room. They are somewhat bulky and their height (12") took some getting used to, as it is taller than any other boots I've owned. But they are very comfortable, like an oversized pair of slippers. They seem well constructed and the waterpoof treatment is thorough. The lower boot and sole is constructed as a single piece of rubber, which means fewer seams to leak but also less sole rigidity and thickness. I could easily feel rocks and ice chunks beneath the flexible soles, which seem susceptible to puncure or tears over time on rugged terrain. But for plowing through snow drifts they are great. I just used them after a 28" blizzard with excellent results. Prior to that I used them in a snow/rainstorm which left thick slush and 4-5" deep puddles in my path; which I trudged right through with confidence and arrived with dry feet. By the end of the day everything had turned to ice. The soles gripped it quite well (partly due to their flexibility); better than any other boots I've owned. On dry pavement, they are a little too "grippy" for my taste. The removable liners makes drying and cleaning easy, although getting them back inside the boot takes a little patience. The lacing system is somewhat cumbersome (no speed laces) and takes some patience too, but I can put up with that for the limited number of days per year I'll need to wear them. All in all, the boots are a good value for the price.

Comments about Kamik NationPlus Wide Width Boot - Men's: These boots came at just the right time - the night before a snowstorm! And they really keep my feet warm while shoveling. A decent pair of wide (width) boots are really hard to find, but these are great!
