Comments about Gordini Aquabloc Down Gauntlet Mitt - Men's: When it is below 20 degrees F I like to use down mittens. I take walks year round and some of my walks are over 2 hours. These mittens are very warm when there is NO wind. In the wind they loose heat to be practical in the long haul. First, the thumbs start to throb and then the other 4 fingers get cold. I had to put the entire hand with mitton on in a pocket to protect my hands from the 13 degree wind.

Comments about Gordini Aquabloc Down Gauntlet Mitt - Men's: These were a gift for my husband who works at a ski resort and is outside in all weather. The mittens are warm and very lightweight. Bonus that they have a "pleather" palm. Have not tested the waterproofing yet. They seemed a bit small.

Comments about Gordini Aquabloc Down Gauntlet Mitt - Men's: I do photography in the arctic and have found these gloves to be very warm even down to -40. I prefer the Gortex model, though they are a bit more expensive, and unless you work up a sweat or get wet (=Death up north!) then you should be fine with the AquaBloc model. I give these 4 stars and 5 for the Goretx version for this reason.

Comments about Gordini Aquabloc Down Gauntlet Mitt - Men's: For walking the dog and playing frisbee is severe cold. These down mittens are very warm and waterproof. A little hard to put on, due to loose liners, and not as good as grip as my Kombis.

Comments about Gordini Aquabloc Down Gauntlet Mitt - Men's: I bought these mittens in a men's size medium for my husband for Christmas. They were way to small for him, but rather than having to send them back I decided to keep them for myself. They are short (the elastic doesn't come down to my wrist, which is uncomfortable)and I'm a very small woman. What I really dislike is that the lining bunches up and makes them really hard to put on. You have to stop and straighen the lining out ever time you wear them. Though they are warm, they're driving me crazy and I'm looking for another pair. I wouldn't recommend them to anyone.

Q:
are these mittens suitable for XC ski, i.e. not too bulky?1 answer
A:
For deep winter skiing these would be good. However I have noticed that mitts can be a little fatigued when used for longer skis.Q:
I am considering these and the Gordini Men's Gore-Tex Gauntlet Mitts. The description for these mentions they are good for temperatures that "hover at freezing"? I assume they provide better warmth than that? Which model would be warmer? Thanks.1 answer
A:
The Gordini Down Mitt will be warmer than the Gauntlet Mitt. These mitts should keep you warm well below freezing.Q:
I bought a pair of these for my teenage daughter for skiing and they are the first pair of mittens that keep her hands warm skiing. However, the insides have developed an odor and the tag says you can't wash them or dry clean them. How on earth can you clean them?1 answer
A:
The tag stipulates not to dry clean. You can wash in cold water and dry on a low heat setting like you would was and dry a pillow.Q:
Can you please tell me what microdenier is? What I would like for a lining is something that is slick or slippery like nylon so I can slide a liner in and out without a problem. If its fleece-like its pretty much a deal breaker.1 answer
A:
The lining in this mitt is like a micro fleece, so it is not slick.
