Comments about Windpaddle Scout Sail: No complaints for the manufacturer but mother nature could be more cooperative some days by blowing the right direction, still, when the wind is right, you can cover a lot of easy miles in a hurry.
Pros Cons Best Uses
Comments about Windpaddle Scout Sail: I used to keep an umbrella in my kayak to use as a sail, and this is a similar concept. I tested the WindPaddle with both a kayak and canoe. When there's wind, you will sail! And when there's not wind, you will fight the sail to get it back down to the neat package it showed up as. I suggest some on-shore practicing to learn to rebundle the sail, or you may become a navigational hazzard! You do need something on deck to hook the bottom of the sail to. I look forward to getting more procificent with this.

Comments about Windpaddle Scout Sail: I bought the sail based on its price and relative popularity, and it works just as advertised. Take about 5 minutes for the wrinkles to come out of the window once opened up, but I really like the sail. Visibility mis good enough.

Comments about Windpaddle Scout Sail: I was able to connect this sail to the deck rigging of my boat in less than a minute, and was out sailing right away. In short order I understood how to capture the wind from behind me as the sail instantly launched. Weighs about what my pump weighs and I always sail with my pump. With the way the winds come up and then die where I paddle (The coves and bays of the New England area) I'll keep the sail coiled and ready to launch on deck to catch the puffs of wind going my way and eat my lunch while sailing.
