I wear them as liners under very heavy wool socks. At the end of two 10 mile hikes over rough trails, my feet were absolutely dry. The wool socks were soaked with sweat but my feet were bone dry.

Bought for my eight year old son to use while backpacking. He really likes them as they do a good job of managing moisture, keeping his feet dry after a 4 mile hike in 90+ degree weather. He didn't develop any blisters.

Trying to find a decent pair of sock liners seems to be getting more and more difficult- for someone like me who works in a Shop where there is always moisture/water around, these are a necessity! These liners are better than just the plain poly liners because they actually do something the others dont- they actually insulate well! If you are someone who works outdoors, plays alot outdoors or is just on their feet all day long in boots, these are for you. They keep your feet dry and comfortable, cool in the summer, warm in winter and keep your feet from having that "clammy" feeling when they sweat, especially in non-goretex boots. These are a must for wear under your regular socks.

I work heavy construction year round. Last year I developed tendonitis in my achilles tendons because my work boots were too tight due to doubling up on winter socks. 2 doctors told me I needed weeks of rest to let it subside. Instead I bought 5 pairs of these liners based on other reviews and I saw my tendonitis fade away while working on my feet in just a few weeks. I didn't need to wear 2 pairs of wool socks anymore to keep my feet warm; these liners helped remove the sweat on my feet while providing another layer for warm air to keep my feet warm. After a season of hard use, they haven't shown any signs of wear and continue to provide maximum comfort and warmth. They are honestly so thing that I feel like they could wear out very quickly, but based on other reviews they seem to last years. I would absolutely recommend these to anyone who wears a winter sock.

Delicious feel on feet, under wool socks.
I demand robustness as my toenails are sharp and harsh; these socks work. They are slightly slippery inside outer socks, the shoe cannot be loose on the foot.

I looked for years for a sock like this. I've been haking large sections of the Appalachian Trail in the past few years and this makes an ideal liner sock. I normally wear it under my Smart Wool socks and the Silver Threads help to keep the bacteria and thus foot odor to a minimum. They hold up to trail use well and they can be worn alone with hiking boots or shoes in hot weather. I really like these.
