Comments about Fieldline Alpha OPS Internal Frame Pack:

Bought this pack mainly because it's cheap and I needed something to take hunting. I'e been in love ever since. first...the thing just keeps gobbling up anything you throw in there. Need more room? It opens up in the middle for an extra 400 cubes or you can strap on anything to the outside with all those lashing loops. Second...tuff. I've been packing around 50 pounds of stuff everyday for 6 months in preparation for a long hike. That's 5 to 6 miles of hiking w no wear or tear yet. I've had as much as 75 lbs in it but would recommend keeping it under 50lbs. Best pack for the price you'll ever find...simple...durable...cheap

Comments about Fieldline Alpha OPS Internal Frame Pack:

Where to begin. This pack is nearly indestructible. I bought this pack just days before a major trip, and I was able to cram 40+ pounds of equipment and 220 ounces of water into it with no problem. I then proceeded to put it through a solid week of hard training in desert conditions that was pure abuse on equipment, but I didn't experience so much as a loose seam. So happy, especially since the last pack I did that with, wasn't so lucky.

This pack is very roomy for big things or just dumping stuff in, but it also has tons of options for organization, both of which helped me out personally because I was always on the move and the ability to cram and go was a lifesaver. The side pouches are huge (easily fits any water bottle or small stove with room to spare) but not bug enough to get in the way. And the yoked shoulder straps help to take some of the strain off your upper body on long hikes. And the sleeve thingy between the main compartment and the large organizer compartment in the front is made for a helmet, but it easily fits a 64 oz. hydration carrier for extra water capacity.

Using this for Bug out Bag and Emergency Deployment. Packed all 25 lbs of survival items with room to spare. The waist buckle distributes the weight onto the pelvic lessening the load on the back.
Front pouch (looking from the back) could use better holding straps. They sometimes are slacking towards the rear.

Comments about Fieldline Alpha OPS Internal Frame Pack:

I bought this bag as a bug out bag candidate and am now planning on buying one more, one for daily use & one for bug out situations.

I took mine on a 1 day hike & only loaded it with about 20 lbs of gear. It sat too low initially but after adjusting the shoulder and chest straps, it was very comfortable to carry, even after hour 5. I plan on loading my b.o.b. with 45 - 50 lbs of gear so im anxious to see how it carries with a full load. I added an extra large drop bag (molle attached) and still have room for a few more molle attachments so im going to be doing some shopping.

Overall great bag for now. Ill be putting it through the ringer over the next 6 months.

Hydration compatible means the Fieldline Alpha OPS Internal Frame Pack has a pocket or sleeve in the back of the main compartment that will hold a 2 liter or smaller reservoir, plus an opening for the drinking tube.
