Comments about 2011 Eureka Tetragon 7 - Three Person Tent:

Camped for four nights in the desert with this tent. It was rainy and very windy a few of the nights and we stayed dry, but the fly isn't close enough to the tent to keep wind and sand out. The tent structure held up well in the wind though- we just wished the fly was a bit more snug.

The tent was super spacious and we had more than enough room for two adults, a large dog and our gear. Easy to set up and had a good amount of pocket/storage space for our smaller items.

I am 6 2" and I touched on both sides, but for my 3 girls that I bought it for, it will fit them well. I have only had it out for 1 night in the back yard so can't speak on how well it holds up. Hope to have it our soon.

i love this tent! i used to have a 7x7 by another brand - this one has a better fly (more coverage) and is easier to set up and take down since there are not any sleeves for the poles to get stuck in. i wonder how warm you would stay in this tent, though, since there is so much air that can go through. great for arizona warm weather camping!

Comments about 2011 Eureka Tetragon 7 - Three Person Tent:

We purchase four additional Tetragon 7 tents for use by our Boy Scout Troop (already had eight of these along with other older Eurekas). We have been using this design for a number of years and have had decent success with usability and wear. This tent is easy to set up and use for both car camping and backpacking (if you split up the tent/fly/poles between Scouts). The overall cost is very effective when camping on a monthly basis. This tent will give you many good years of use if properly maintained and you use a footprint or groundcloth to help protect the floor.

There are a couple of items that are not great about this tent: the rain fly and the fly poles. The rain fly does not cover the entire doorway/rear window causing leaks around the zippers and water in the tents when opening the door on rainy outings. The fly poles are designed incorrectly causing splits and breaks - rendering the fly inoperative in wet weather.

We have continued to use the Tetragon 7 as it fits two Scouts easily, is easy for even beginning campers to set up and take down and can be used for a variety camping styles. We would recommend the Tetragon 7 for group camping but be aware of its' drawbacks.

Noticed that a new Tetragon design/color has been introduced for 2012; along with a new price point.

shopping tents for about 2 months before getting the tetragon 7. Haven't been able to use it yet this year. Feature I wanted was ability to pick-up and move tent easily within the camp site. Looks like great ventilation for summer camping.

We set up the tent in the dining room as soon as we got it... did not want to dig a spot in the snow. We plan to take this tent to BWCA on a canoe trip and also to the cabin during the summer for the kids to experience 'sleeping outside'.

The tent will be the size that it is. You would not be able to downsize. Better to increase the size of the trailer you want to put this tent on.

With the rain fly on, the side mesh is totally covered. The door and back window have flaps. You have total privacy.

Yes, there are zip up flaps on the inside door and back window. The large mesh windows on the side are covered by the rain fly. Zippers havn't failed on me in my 2 years of use of this tent.

You catch the center loop across the crossed main poles after the poles are in place. You do not have to slip the poles through any loops or fabric during set up. It's very easy to set up and take down.
