Q:does this tent have a electrical pass thru
A:The tetragon 5 does not have an electrical cord pass through. The EUREKA! Copper Canyon 5 + ScreenRoom - 5 Person Tent has a E power port.
Q:Does the Tetragon - 5 have a center hub for the poles like the Eureka Headquarters? I have had a lot of trouble with the hub breaking; also poles tend to pop out in windy conditions.
A:The Tetragon 5 is a 2 hoop pole tent where the hoops criss cross over the top of the tent. It does not have a hub.
Q:Hi, New to camping. Does the rear screened wall have a cover or is it always open?
A:The screened windows do not have a zip in flap. The fly that comes with the tent covers the tent and the tent set up with the fly on will provide the privacy you are referring to.
Q:does the tent fly look the same from the back as it does from the front? or does it cover the majority of the rear wall, like the sidewalls?
A:The tent comes with four poles. Two long fiberglass poles which form the body frame, and two shorter fiberglass poles which will provide the awning on either side.
Q:What gauge are the zippers on this tent? Is there a warranty offered?
A:The EUREKA! Tetragon 5 - 5 Person Tent comes with # 7 coil zipper. Campmor has a 1 year warranty and eureka a limited lifetime warranty to repair or replace.
Q:Are there flaps on the large mesh side windows, other than the outer rain fly cover?
A:There are no flaps on the side windows on the EUREKA! Tetragon 5 - 5 Person Tent.
Q:How does this tent hold up in windy conditions?
A:As long as you stake and guy out the tent to be taught it will hold up under windy conditions. the key aspect to to guy out the tent to reduce frame shifting because of the wind. It is all about proper pitching. Bring extra rope and guy outs
Q:Is there a seam on the floor?
A:The EUREKA! Tetragon 5 has a seam in the floor and it is taped.
Q:How does this compare to 2011 Tetra 9. Has Eureka made improvements to the materials used ?
A:The main difference between a 2011 tetragon 9 and the 2012 tetragon 5 is that the 2011 has a curved brim rod and the 2012 tetragon 5 has a straight fly rod. The 2012 is an improvement. The curved brim rod broke a lot. Having the straight fly rod will reduce stress and reduce breaking.
Q:Will any of the vestibules etc from other tents work to add additional coverage over the door so one can sit looking at the rain not be rained on?
A:No, vestibules are specific to the tent they are made for.
