The Eureka! Grand Manan 7, sleeps 2-3 people and an innovative shape incorporates a new concept in tent design providing more useable floor space. The lower portion (the bottom 12") of the walls are straight, eliminating the unusable space where the walls meet with the floor, maximizing the floor area. Additionally, the sides of the fly roll up from the ground for optimal airflow through the tent. The full coverage fly protects against all types of weather and is easy to put on or adjust for great ventilation.

  • Sleeps 2-3

Comments about Eureka! Grand Manan 7 Tent:

This is my car-camping/fesival tent. I generally buy lightweight and minimalistic, but I decided to go all out and get a heavy, comfortable tent, airmattress, hurricane fan, etc.

I ordered this tent a few weeks ago. Set it up in the back yard to sleep in the day I got it. It rained twice - no water, no uncomfortable condensation. Room enough for a queen air-mattress. Ventilation is excellent.

Comments about Eureka! Grand Manan 7 Tent:

The tent is geat and the straight sidewalls allow for more roominess given the footprint this tent has. It's easy to setup. The material may be a bit too lightweight and that goes for the tent and the screens....time will tell.
I've never owned a bad Eureaka! tent but I have never owned a tent such as this, more for car camping versus backpacking/bikepacking. For the price it will be worth it I'm sure.

Comments about Eureka! Grand Manan 7 Tent:

I got my tent today and set it up in my front yard. Of course as soon as I tried to set it up the wind started to blow, which made the process a little frustrating, but Im not a patient person to begin with. I initially bought the tent because it looked durrable, and had such good reviews. I live in an area where the camping weather is usually hot, so the venting was a big plus. I am impressed with the apparent durrability of the tent. The fly attaches very securely, with several velcro and replaceable buckle attachment points. The stakes seem sturdy and not likely to bend with use. The single orange colored tie down on the tent and fly made lining them up a simple concept that was very welcome with the wind that I mentioned earlier. So far the only comlaint I have is that no one seems to make a footprint for it. I will update my review in a few weeks after I have had a chance to take it out and actually sleep in it.

I do quite a bit of camping & this tent doesn't disapoint. I had it up in a Tropical storm (Huricane)with 60 MPH winds and driving rain & had no problems. I love the veltilation.

Comments about Eureka! Grand Manan 7 Tent:

I am an Assistant Scout Master for my sons Boy Scout troop. I purchased 6 tents for our scout troop. We sleep 2-3 scouts in each tent from ages 11-17. We have had these tents in winds of 40-50 mph, rain storms and have not had any problems. I did spray the tent with dry camp when I first bought it mainly due to recommendations from other reviews. I bought this tent after I read many reviews on tents. We have camped in these tents about 15 nights since April 2011 mainly in bad weather. Since the scouts camp year around in all weather we seam to always pick wet and windy weather. It is fairly easy to setup and tear down. Even our 11 year old scouts can set-up and tear down the tents just fine on their own, after a couple times with help. Over all it's a great tent. The low profile rain fly that go to the ground is great in high winds.

I have recommended this tent to others. It makes a great Scout Tent.

You could use this tent for Backpacking for the older Scouts if they divided up the tent parts between 2 or 3 Scouts. It's too big for a single person to carry.

Roomy, fits a queen size airbed. All of the ventilation options are useful. Vestibules are roomy. We basically spent the late summer and part of the fall sleeping in this. So far its held up well, even through several rain storms with high winds. Were very happy with this one.

Comments about Eureka! Grand Manan 7 Tent:

The only drawback I can see with this tent is the weight. It's definitely not a backpacking tent unless you're divvying the gear between friends and the only thing you have to carry is this, and your share of freeze-dried vittles. Short "scout" backpacking trips are a possibility, but I wouldn't want to carry it more than 8 miles or so. Overall, it's a fantastic tent for all other purposes. Despite the cold climate of the blue-ridge mountains in the fall, the tent didn't collect any condensation from our two sleepers, and it kept us comfortable and dry even without a ground cloth. I look forward to using it more this coming spring!

Great car camping tent. Footprint a little large for some spots, but we used it for a music festival and it was perfect for 2 people. Roomy inside and large vestibules hold a lot of shoes and gear. It rained and snowed and we were dry and cozy inside. Not big enough for 3. Love the vestibules, many windows and venting options.
