Cons Best Uses Comments about Esbit Pocket Stove with 6 Solid Fuel Cubes: If you eat self-heating meals or use the mountain house self heating ovens, this is all you need for a hot cup of coffee in the morning. Leave that bulky, heavy, messy stove in the trunk of the car. It might still be useful after the next earthquake.

Comments about Esbit Pocket Stove with 6 Solid Fuel Cubes: Hiked on the AT a few days after receiving this and had a nice hot lunch. Stove works very well for what it is and is a must have for minimalist or survival applications. The fuel works well but it takes a few pieces to boil water especially if it's breezy, so be prepared to add sticks or other fuel. A windscreen is a must in windy conditions. Highly recommended.

Comments about Esbit Pocket Stove with 6 Solid Fuel Cubes: Can't think of anything that I would change, it is perfectly simple.

Comments about Esbit Pocket Stove with 6 Solid Fuel Cubes: I was looking forward to trying out the Esbit stove to reduce the backpack weight. While it worked okay, the fuel tabs definitely did not last 12 minutes each. 8-9 minutes, tops. Plus, you have to use two to boil 2-3 cups of water. I tend to use the Swiss M71 surplus stoves and thought these fuel tablets might burn a bit more intensely, but it looks like I'll stick to the M71. But the Esbit is not a bad backup.

Comments about Esbit Pocket Stove with 6 Solid Fuel Cubes: If you are used to a gas canister, you will find the that the Esbit is no substitute. If you see it for what it is - a minimalist stove with several inconveniences - it may be acceptable.

Q:
what type of pot or cup could be used safely with this stove? I am looking for something to fit in a 72 hour kit that could be used to boil water or soup. Thanks for your help!1 answer
A:
Any cookware will work well with this stove, the type of fuel would not limit you to a certain type of cookware. It is recommended not to use a pot larger than about 1/2 liter since it is not efficient for large quantities.Q:
can a wetfire tablet work with this stove?1 answer
CUSTOMER CARE
A:
For the AGS Labs Esbit Pocket Stove we only recommend using the Esbit fuel tablets.
