Comments about Surefoot Due North All Purpose Traction Aids: This product is very limited in its use. I was only able to use them on packed snow or a very thin layer of ice. Was not what I thought I was getting. Comments about Surefoot Due North All Purpose Traction Aids: I used these on the ice in November on the Bright Angel Trail in the Grand Canyon over La Sportiva trail runner shoes and they were great! There were many transitions between ice and dirt on the trail, and I didn't need to remove these on the dirt sections. The icy trail would have been treacherous without these. They are also good for running, much better than the older kind, since these have more toe coverage they stay in place better. On boundary sizes consider the type of footwear that you will wear this ice walker with. A shoe you go with the smaller size for a boot the larger size. Boots being higher volume than shoes.Answered on 2/7/2013 by Steve from Campmor
