The fleece liner zips to the shell just like a coat liner. The 12 months size measures 27" from shoulder to foot with an inseam of 9.5". The fleece liner measures a tad smaller at about 26 inches from shoulder to foot with an inseam of 9".

With fleece buntings, he would get shivering within minutes. Now he can play forever and be comfortable! The fit is a little off - it fits in the torso well, but the arms are WAY long. No problem - just roll up the sleeves. Also, the shell gets a little wet, but the inner fleece stays dry while he's playing in the wet sand and drizzle. Awesome for this climate.

Comments about Columbia Sportswear 3-in-1 Bugababy Interchange Bunting - Infants: This is a really good product: not bulky in the car seat, covers hands and feet well, windproof outer shell, snug-fitting hood...but it is not warm enough for real winter temps. I have to use another fleece suit underneath or a car seat bag. That said, I'm glad I bought it and hope to get lots of use out of it, through the winter, spring and fall. It looks great and I've gotten lots of compliments on it.

We use just the removable liner when travelling in the car and put both pieces together when out for a walk. It is soft & cozy and my little guy is still able to move around when he has it on.
