Ordered to replace old mummy bags. These are roomy and will be more than adequate to keep my family comfortable as well as allowing turning over while sleeping. Well constructed and very nice olive color. Just sorry that Coleman makes all their equipment in other countries.

Have purchased 5 of these so far, expect to buy more. One now resides permanently with my 6' 3" son (an Alaskan guide) at his base camp. Be aware this monster of a bag is NOT for backpacking. You need a vehicle, horse, raft or floatplane to get it to camp. But once there it does the job. Built tough, machine washable, great zipper, combines with a bag of the same make to make a bag for two. If you need to go warmer it has plenty of room for another bag to easily slide inside.

In short the handle of the sleeping bag that is used to hold and carry after the bag has been rolled ripped. at the end of the trip i picked the bag out of the car and the handle ripped off of the bag in my hand. outside of that everything from the ordering, shipping, and sleeping performance was 100% perfect.

Comments about Coleman Big Game 0 Degree Big and Tall Sleeping Bag:

This is a great product for it's intended use, which is transport-based camping in cold weather -- which can be anything from winter in the Sierras to summer in coastal Alaska. My eldest son, 6'4" and a guide in Alaska, uses one in his unheated basecamp cabin and loves it. I've bought 6 so far, and may buy more. It isn't a back-packing bag -- you need a horse, mule, raft, boat or car to carry it -- but it's cushy, roomy, and durable. Zippers are sturdy and easily mate two bags together into a double bag big enough for a honeymoon trip to the Arctic.

Used for couch surfing in Manhattan studio apartment with no heat. It was perfect! Very comfortable, good for people with different builds and heights etc. Very soft flannel lining. Definitely not for packing in anywhere as it's super heavy and bulky. Really well made with nice attention to details.

At last, we found a sleeping bag with a zipper that opens at the foot so anyone with hot feet can have their feet open to the cool air, while the rest of them is inside a warm, zippered bag. Love this feature.

Comments about Coleman Big Game 0 Degree Big and Tall Sleeping Bag:

I ordered this for a boy scout camp out with my son. My current 20 degree mummy bag was too claustrophobic. This was VERY roomy and kept me nice and warm in 20 degrees. Only wish it had a built in hood and draw string. I ended up crawling into it and covering my head to keep my face and head warm. Its very long , I'm 5'10" and had no issue getting completely covered from head to toe. It has very thick material. Only drawback is that it packs up very large and bulky.

                A:

It is a little bit confusing. You receive the bag folded in half and put in the box. The wrap carry system requires rolling the bag in it's unfolded open state. Roll from the bottom with the pillow enclosed. Once rolled the wrap lines up and a carry handle is exposed. Tie the wrap off and you have a tidy carry bag.

I would recommend using ScothGuard but at the same time there is no way to really make it water proof. As for a cover of some sort can’t say I’ve ever seen one. If you’re worried about that I’d just go buy an inexpensive tarp.

Some bags don't have a zipper along the bottom edge of the bag. Therefore, the bag can't be completely opened up so that it could double in area-size to create a large blanket. Regarding the product in question, does the zipper run all the way along the bottom edge (width) of the bag?

                A:

This bag zips along the bottom and fully opens up. Putting 2 together results in a double wide bag for 2 people.
