The Coleman® 4D XPS Classic Personal Size LED Lantern delivers big lighting power from an easy-to-carry, personal sized lantern. This weather-resistant lantern utilizes a Cree® XLamp® XR-E LED to kick out 190 lumens on high setting and 100 lumens on low. Diffuser tube creates perfect illumination. Runtime: 25 hours on high, 60 hours on low. Weather resistant construction. Operates on 4 D cell batteries (not included).

We bought three of these guys.
We will use them for home blackouts (We get a lot).
I like the battery pack - sturdy and only goes in one way. The Cree LED's are very bright on axis, but the vertical dispersion is poor (meaning standing on a table, things less than a foot away are not well lit). We put a ring of aluminum foil (bright side down) to help and it does. The 2-position switch offers only slight redux in "Low" position.
I've not camped in many years, but i suspect this wd be way too heavy and bulky for a pack

not being able to locate any white fuel for my old colman lantren. I brought this light as a last minute replacement for out week long camping trip. I did not hold much hope that it would last the week for me but was surprised that it did and did so rather well too. I would suggest this light to anyone who does "car camping".
