It gets FRIGID with a windchill increased by heli movement, and this shirt was great for blocking the wind and keeping the heat in. the double layer weave was super comfortable but not binding and very breathable. i ended up giving it to a family member who needed it and intend to buy another one very soon.

The pros are that it's very soft and cozy-feeling, and it fits, though it's quite long on me (but I'm only 5'1"). The con is that the high percentage of cotton that makes it feel so comfortable also makes it less warm than the base layers made of polyester and spandex. It's also relatively thick because it's 2 layers--the inside layer is all cotton, the outer one is 60% cotton. I would wear it alone or as a base layer on less cold days because it looks fine and feels good.
