Cons Best Uses Comments about Coldpruf Men's Extreme Performance Expedition Weight Underwear Crew Shirt: Great for layering. I usually wear XL for sleeve and body length, but size L works perfectly. Nice snug but not too tight fit. I could wear a compression hot or cold gear underneath, and usually put a heavy long sleeve T over and then a sweat shirt and coat. I'm usually too warm if active. Have not sat in extreme cold yet, like a tree stand.

Comments about Coldpruf Men's Extreme Performance Expedition Weight Underwear Crew Shirt: I use this for cycling in cold weather. I cycle in the Portland area and it gets wet and cold in the winter so multiple layers are in order. This shirt is fairly heavy weight and my upperbody layers are typically (for 30-45F) a light poly base layer, heavy base layer (like this shirt), Windstopper shell, and rain jacket. I can go out riding for 90-120 minutes and feel comfortable. Of course I sweat but this helps keep me warm. I marked 4/5 as I haven't used it for a complete season yet. But if I get several riding seasons I'll be happy and the price is great considering some B/Ls are $50+ (too much IMO). The fit is good and doesn't ride up on the rear so perfect for cycling. Also, the material doesn't chaf the skin and the seams are well sewn and don't rub either.
