Comments about Marmot DriClime Windshirt - Men's:

Excellent lightweight windbreaker that I've used comfortably as an overlayer in relatively wet (NOT raining) conditions into temps. down around the low 40s with just a wool undershirt.

Although the jacket is not designed as an insulating layer per se, I've found that it does an excellent job of retaining body heat for a substantial period after prolonged inactivity, sheds light rain well, DOESN'T "wet out" easily -even in prolonged "misting" - and dries exceedingly quickly after anything except saturation (e.g., by being rained on for an extended period).

I'm just under 6', about 185 and relatively trim (32-33" waist) with a 42" regular coat size: I found that the jacket tends to run a tad small if you layer with anything other than a single layer like Capilene. Because of that, I eventually sized up to an XL to accommodate a lightweight Montbell down jacket underneath.

The only design feature that I found lacking on this jacket (which is superbly well-made and VERY soft/noiseless) was a drawstring at the waist; however, the length of the jacket makes this a virtual non-factor in anything less than a gale-force wind.

I'm not skinny enough to wear it and if I bought a bigger size(if one were available), then the neck opening would be too big.

Comments about Marmot DriClime Windshirt - Men's:

This is an extremely versatile piece of gear. I've worn it as a outside layer over both a wind proof & non-windproof coat, over a capilene/thermax zip shirt, and simply as a shirt. It is unbelieveably light & is amazing at how much warmth per weight ratio it has. It is very soft and unusually comfortable and flexible. It's good for so many things that I really cannot figure which one it was actually designed for, except all of the above. Yesterday, I wore it over a zip capilene shirt and under a wind proof fleece coat in the mountains of Colorado at above 10,500 feet with over 40 MPH winds, 10 degree temps w/o the wild chill, and and was just fine plowing through the waist deep snow. It remained warm even when I was resting. Two days ago I went to a local mountaineering shop (I live in the mountains) and looked at a similar shirt/coat from another top manufacturer and they wanted [$] for it. Although it had a hood, the merchant said it wasn't as warm. Dinked it for not having hand pockets, so if you use it as an outer layer you're constantly having to put you hands underneath the shirt to retrieve things or for a place to just put you hands. Nice, comfortable, and useful shirt at a terrific price.

Comments about Marmot DriClime Windshirt - Men's:

Hunting ducks in January can be a cold, wet experience. The Marmot DryClime shirt, worn over a long john top, then covered with a wool shirt has taken most of the cold and damp out of my hunting trips.

No, the Driclime wind shirt is not compatible with the Tamarack shell.
