Best Uses Comments about Columbia Sportswear Snake River Water Shorts - 9" Inseam - Men's: I've had these shorts before and I love the secure pockets for swimming purposes. They are closer to 8" inseam rather than 9" and I wish they were even longer. I do not like the belt which is needed but the end just hangs there unless you tuck it in which seems awkward. I'd rather have an interior draw string. On other shorts like this, I just remove the belt but you can't do that unless they fit pretty snugly.

I thought it was time to get him a couple new pairs. These are a more modern take on the old ones but are still basically the same shorts. The color choices and fabric are nice. My only real complaint is that the sizing is a little goofy on these. I ordered 2 pairs, each of a different color, both in a size medium. One pair is definitely bigger than the other. It wasn't enough of a difference for him to want to return one pair but I now can understand why some of the reviewers said their shorts were too large and some of the shorts were too small. Pros
